Getting Started with Inspired Realty

Let’s get started with Inspired Realty!

  1. Visit http://admin.inspiredrealty.ca to logon to your listing management system.
  2. Enter your email address and password provided by your account manager.

Creating a Listing

Choose the listing data type from the drop down box at the top right of your screen and click “Begin”

Data types are created by Inspired Realty support to customize your experience and required fields. You can have multiple data types that may apply to commercial, residential or other types of listings that you need to be able to post on your site.

Once a blank listing has opened:

  1. Enter the address, choose a city, and enter the postal code.
  2. Adjust the pin on the google map as necessary by clicking and dragging it to be right on top of the building.
  3. Type your Property Description, this should be a brief introduction to the listing, outlining any special features.
  4. Enter in your Property Information, these fields are defined by the data type and will have restrictions based on their requirements for the front end website. If you enter data improperly the system will prompt you when you Save.
  5. Choose from the available statuses. The listing status defines how it is displayed in the front end of your website, for instance whether it is on the sold page, an active listing, or maybe a featured listing on your homepage.
  6. Click Save Listing after making your changes.
  7. Once saving, the Upload Files and Upload Images buttons will appear.
  8. To upload, click on Upload Images, then choose Browse. You may select more than one file by holding down the control key and clicking each, or pressing CTRL+A (Command+A on Mac) on your keyboard to select all. Click open, then wait for the upload dialog to disappear. As it uploads the full size images, this can take quite a while depending on the number of images and your internet connection.
  9. Be sure to save your listing after uploading images.
  10. Click the pencil icon below an image to edit it. From there you can edit the title, or make a certain photo the listing thumbnail.
  11. Drag and drop images to re-arrange their order.
  12. Be sure to save your listing after any changes.

When you are done adjusting, adding to, and saving your listing, click on “My Listings” at the top of your screen to return to the home screen.

Existing Listings

From the home screen, you can drag and drop listings to re-order them. Just grab the “handle” (three verticle dots to the left of the listing) and drag up or down the list. You can click on “Condensed View” to make this an easier process as it displays more listings at a time.

You can also filter so that you are only seeing Active listings, or any other choice by using the checkboxes on the right side of your screen. These include checkboxes by datatype, city, and status.

Click on the Edit button beside a listing to change any values, edit photos, add photos or files, etc. Make sure to save when you are done working with a listing before pressing “My Listings” to return to the home screen.

Click on the Hide/Show button to choose whether a listing is hidden from the front-end interface. This makes it so that you can work on a listing, get and get it perfect before having it display on your website. You may also want to hide a listing when it becomes inactive if you feel that the seller will re-list.

My Account

From the My Account page you manage your “global settings.”

The key features here are the Cities and Statuses.

To add a city, choose the state or province from the drop down list, then choose a city from the subsequent drop down list and click Add to my Cities.

To add a status, type a status in the text box at the bottom of the status list, then choose Add to my Statuses.
